Bend, Ore.—Join thousands of spirited locals and visitors in Bend, Oregon over Presidents’ Day Weekend for the largest winter festival on the West Coast—the 21st annual OnPoint Community Credit Union Oregon WinterFest! This festive community celebration for all ages will return to the Old Mill District February 14-16, 2020. Online ticket sales are now open.
The event will once again benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon, to whom $13,270 was donated through Oregon WinterFest 2019. Since 2008, Oregon WinterFest has donated more than $120,000 to local charities.
With the help of title sponsor OnPoint Community Credit Union, the largest credit union headquartered in Oregon, Lay It Out Events is pleased to produce an event that brings the community together around a love of all things winter.

The Bend Family Play Zone features the wildly popular OMSI Science Tent presented by Lonza. Enjoy a collection of hands-on brainteasers that will challenge young visitors to think both critically and creatively.
Oregon WinterFest Ice Queen and Fire King | Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Each year, Oregon WinterFest introduces a royal court to represent the festival! This year, the Ice Queen and Fire King will be handpicked from the local theater community by Michelle Mejaski, director for Theater in the Park. Watch for special appearances, photo opps and the royal crowning ceremony.
10 Barrel Rail Jam | Friday & Saturday
Get ready for the thrill and excitement of skiers and snowboarders 18+ throwing down their super-slick snow tricks. Enter the competition yourself or come down to cheer on your favorite riders.
Central Oregon USASA Rail Jam | Saturday & Sunday
This riding showcase is reserved for the youngsters—but that doesn’t mean their tricks aren’t BIG.
J.D. Platt’s K9 Kings | Saturday & Sunday
Delight in the high-flying acrobatic stunts of 11 beautiful and talented dogs of various breeds in the middle of DogTown, USA. Many of these skillful dogs are rescue dogs. You’ll laugh, you’ll take videos, you’ll be amazed. After the show, stick around for the world’s largest meet and greet pet area.
The Royal Run 5K | Saturday at 12pm
Join this costume fun run with a twist! Runners draw a playing card at each checkpoint, and the runner with the best hand at the finish line wins a prize. The Royal Run is presented by Princess Athletic. Runners in full costume get an extra playing card!
Kids Hot Cocoa Run | Sunday at 12pm
It’s the first PacificSource Kids Rock the Races event of the season! Kids will run from station to station collecting cocoa ingredients in this fun run. Costumes are encouraged.
Celebrate winter with outdoor art installations & competitions!
The Light, Ice & Fire Exposition (L.I.F.E.) will feature creative displays throughout OnPoint Community Credit Union Oregon WinterFest and be composed of impressive categories of fire, ice and light.
Fire Pit Competition | Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Displayed throughout the weekend, the Fire Pit Competition brings together an impressive selection of talented artists from the Pacific Northwest to showcase their fiery exhibits of art, warmth and community.
Ice Carving | Saturday & Sunday
Gather around to watch a group of talented ice carvers from the Pacific Northwest transform giant blocks of ice into magnificent works of art. The live carving is a festival highlight. Don’t miss it! Like the ice itself, it won’t last forever. The Ice Carving Competition is presented by Hayden Homes.
Central Oregon Light Art | Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Meander through beautiful light creations in the dark winter’s night. This magical display, back for its second year, will light up the banks of the Deschutes River and help illuminate the night throughout the festival.
